The 54-year-old veteran bodybuilder and powerlifter Mike O’Hearn is a global icon. 4X Mr. Universe O’Hearn is known for his impressive physique and dedication. His following has been increasing rapidly these past few weeks among the non-bodybuilding communities as well due to the viral ‘baby don’t hurt me’ meme trend. 

O’Hearn regularly posts videos on his YouTube channel as well as his social media related to his lifestyle, fitness journey, etc. He has been preaching the importance of longevity in fitness for years now. He is also the creator of Power-Bodybuilding, which is a style of training that he uses to achieve longevity and success in his physique. O’ Hearn recently posted another video on his YouTube showing his shoulder training, which was followed by a short message that he had for his viewers. 

O’Hearn shares bodybuilding secrets to getting a superhuman physique

In O’ Hearn’s recent video, he discussed the importance of nutrition and recovery above the workout itself. Giving his own example, he explained further that fitness and health are not entirely about the workout itself. Diet and sleep play an equally important role in an individual’s health and fitness. He continued to explain that you need to give your body enough time to recover.

“Treat the body kindly and never break it down and destroy it to the point where there’s no recovery. That’s not where you wanna go to,” said O’Hearn. He continued by explaining the importance of a good diet by saying, “Food is the most important thing and it’s not running away from food, it’s about going to the food. That’s your medication.”

O’Hearn has been in the fitness industry for more than three decades now. Even at the age of 54, O’ Hearn looks absolutely muscular and jacked.

His knowledge about the sport and his targeting longevity in his fitness journey are the only two things that have been fueling the 54-year-old to keep going. 

O’Hearn has another piece of advice for the youth

The alarming usage of steroids in the fitness community is getting out of hand. The recent trend of deaths in the bodybuilding industry has certainly made people worried about the consequences of using these compounds. Mike O’Hearn has also expressed his concern about this issue multiple times in the past. In a recent video, he tried to educate the viewers to not take steroids, especially during their youth. 

“So if you jump on it as a teenager or in your 20s… if you jump on it early, when you’re already grown…got the ability to build muscle…to get stronger and you’ve got your youth with you…I would say, don’t touch anything,” O’Hearn said.
