Colin Cowherd comments on Russell Wilson’s potential struggles

He remarked“You know what I thought of when I saw the Pittsburgh Steeler schedule. I thought Justin Field looked at that thing and went oh I am gonna get some snaps. Justin Field’s going to get some snaps.” This comment suggests that with such a challenging schedule, there might be opportunities for backups or younger players to step in and get some playing time. Colin emphasized the difficulty of the Steelers’ schedule, saying, “That is the toughest schedule I have ever seen Thanksgiving on in league history.”

His analysis didn’t just stop at the Steelers’ schedule. He also pointed out the potential struggles of Russell Wilson, the former quarterback for the Denver Broncos. Wilson, who has been facing criticism for declining performance, is set to face a particularly tough end to the season. Cowherd said, “They end the year with a declining quarterback Russell Wilson and a kid behind him wants to play.” This suggests that there might be pressure on Wilson, not just from the tough opponents but also from the younger players on his team who are eager for their chance to play.

Ryan Clark expresses frustration over Steelers’ schedule

Clark didn’t hold back his frustration on ESPN’s ‘Get Up’ as he discussed the Steelers’ challenging 2024 season. Clark said, “Who made this schedule? It’s unfair. Somebody at Park Avenue, they really hating on the Steelers. What dude from Cleveland all of a sudden got a job in the league office to think that you have to play the Ravens twice, the Bengals, the Cleveland Browns, and then the Eagles and the Chiefs?”

The Steelers will face the Ravens, a team known for their strong defense and dynamic offense, twice. The Bengals, led by Joe Burrow, have also proven to be formidable opponents. The Cleveland Browns, another division rival, add to the challenge with their improving roster.

Facing teams like the Eagles and the Chiefs makes it even more difficult for them. Only time will tell how Steelers run will end and how they come out of this rigorous schedule. The team will need to rely on their star quarterbacks, including Russell Wilson, demonstrating their strength and determination to succeed.
