‘Frustrated’ Patrick Mahomes Delivers Strong Response Amid Concerns Regarding Angry Outburst

The NFL season is at its ultimate stage. With so much going around, it’s obvious that there will be emotional outbursts. Usually, Patrick Mahomes is an example of stoicism and calmness. But that has not been the case for the star QB these last two weeks. We have been seeing his frustrated and annoyed side. The Kansas City Chiefs’ superstar QB finally addresses the reason for his outbursts.

The Chiefs have had quite a roller coaster ride in the last few weeks of the season. Winning 3 and losing 4 of their last 7 games. Certainly, Mahomes has been under immense pressure leading up to the Week 16 game against the Raiders. Now he has opened up about the incident amid concerns regarding his outburst against the Patriots last week.

Patrick Mahomes comes clean

Mahomes’ outburst came in the 4th quarter of the game when he passed the ball to WR Kadarius Toney. Unfortunately, Toney fumbled with the ball and then lost it. This made Mahomes visibly angry. “There’s no added frustration towards any player, I know how hard these guys work”, Mahomes explained at the press conference.

He further continued, “I’m going to keep firing the ball to him that’s just how I roll. Whenever I see the guy put in the work every single day”. The 2X Super Bowl winner stated that he has confidence in his receivers but also expressed the reason behind his anger on the field.

“The frustration I think was just over the whole situation not necessarily directed at one person or another”, Mahomes said. But with the playoff spot still not confirmed, the team must put aside all frustrations. And Patrick Mahomes and Co must come together to face their fierce rivals and secure a playoff spot.

The Chiefs will host the ‘bad boys’ of the NFL aka the Las Vegas Raiders this week. However, both teams are in different circumstances regarding the playoffs. The Chiefs have more than a 90% chance to make it to the playoffs even if they lose. On the other hand, the Raiders will have less than a 10% chance to get through, even if they win.

However, this divisional rivalry has been exhilarating throughout the years. And fans would love to witness the matchup between Patrick Mahomes and Maxx Crosby once again. It is going to be a Christmas gift for all football fans.

The Raiders take on the Chiefs on 25th December at Arrowhead Stadium. The kick-off is scheduled at noon CST.
