This Super Bowl hero is accused of leaking information! Last March, the Jets signed receiver Mecole Hardman as a free agent, but he disappointed with just one catch in five games. He also lost the punt-returner job to rookie Xavier Gipson and was eventually traded to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Now, being with the Chiefs, he is accused of leaking the Jets’ game plans to the Philadelphia Eagles and his team. In response, Jets’ cornerback Sauce Gardner brought attention to a 2013 tweet of Hardman with a subtle response to the alleged accusations.

After the reports suggested that Mecole Hardman leaked the Jets’ game plans to their rivals (the Chiefs and the Eagles), CB Sauce Gardner, among others, shared a tweet on his official X account. He retweeted Hardman’s 2013 message: “People say don’t snitch ? Ion see it like that . ! If your life on the line i’m telling on everybody .. !” And dropped one word on it, saying, “lol.

Gardner’s humorous response to Hardman’s willingness to speak up if someone’s life was on the line got fans in a frenzy, as they joined the New York Jets CB in playfully calling the wide receiver a “fraud.” According to Bleacher Report, this speculation “comes after Connor Hughes of SNY reportedthere was validated belief from the Jets’ that Hardman leaked the gameplans to those two opponents as he was frustrated by his lack of usage.”
