While the 12-time Grammy award winner herself has consistently refused to get inked permanently, despite melting at her fans’ gestures, she is not one to shy away from temporary ink, though. She has often been found playing around with fake tattoos and doodles on various occasions.

The rumored girlfriend of NFL star Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift, has proudly flaunted faux tattoos as part of promotional tours and even in some of her music videos, hosting various cool backstories.

For the longest time, Swift was often seen with the number 13 painted on her right hand. This digit has forever held a special place in her heart for several reasons. Not only was Swift born on December 13th, her first No.1 song “Our Song” also included a 13 second intro.

Back in 2019, the singer teased her fans with an enormous black tattoo on her back. The tattoo, which she revealed in the poster for her music video single “You Need to Calm Down,” featured a black design of a flock of butterflies with a twist of snake imagery. Although this cool ink turned out to be fake, it hinted at a journey of transformation, or perhaps her own unique blend of fire and ice.

Apart from these extravagant faux tattoos, Swift has also rocked a few minimal ones. Whether it’s a star tattoo on her right upper chest or the classic heart henna tattoo on her foot, she’s worn them with utter style. As much as she slays every single one, the singer is not up for going under the needle anytime soon.

While the singer might dig for the aesthetic of tattoos, Taylor Swift has maintained countless times that getting permanent ink is not her cup of tea. “People are always asking, ‘Would you get a tattoo?’ And I just . . . I don’t think I could ever commit,” she said once in an interview back in 2012.

“I don’t think I could ever commit to something permanent… I couldn’t. If I was going to get something, it would be a 13, but I just… I don’t want to get a tattoo.” Her intentions seem clear enough that, up until now, she is in a completely clear zone for tattoos. However, never say never—the singer might as well have a change of heart, giving all fans a glimpse of something unique.
