Speculation about Tom Brady’s career associated with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen is on the table. The ex-power couple stole every headline when they tied the knot on February 26, 2009. By then, both were already accomplished in their respective careers, with the NFL legend possessing three Super Bowl rings. At the same time, the Brazilian supermodel was named the 16th wealthiest woman in the entertainment industry.

A lot has happened since then, with Brady winning four more SB rings while Bündchen reaping the title as the only supermodel to appear on 1,700 magazine covers. However, 2022 garnered as much attention when the pair announced their “amicable” split. And more than one year after their divorce, Brady’s fans are coming out to pinpoint the impact of the 43-year-old supermodel in his life.

Could Giselle Bündchen be bad luck for Tom Brady?

Before anything else, once again, speculation takes the lead. A numerology reader posted a savage opinion on X, attributing Tom Brady’s success and decline with and without his ex-wife, stating that Bündchen “might be the fakest witch of all fake witches.” The post went on to document Brady’s football career when he won three SB rings in five years before he married Bündchen and how he became “ringless for almost a decade, tore ACL, 4 rings in 15 years” with her by his side. To top it all, after their divorce, Brady “signed largest contract in FOX history.”

The records are accurate because, coincidentally, after winning his third Super Bowl in 2005, he met Gisele Bündchen in the fall of 2006. He tore his ACL in a tackle in the first quarter of the 2008 NFL season against the Kansas City Chiefs. Following this, the NFL GOAT experienced a long SB hiatus, with his next win coming in 2015 when the New England Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks. But he only managed to win three more rings before his retirement in 2022. As for his after-retirement job, he’s set to replace Greg Olsen as Fox’s lead commentator.

Tom Brady’s new job as Fox commentator

When Tom Brady retired from the NFL, Fox reached out to him with a $375 million offer over a 10-year contract. The NFL star, who has no prior experience in broadcasting, initially wasn’t keen on taking it up because it was “something new” and was “outside of [his] comfort zone.” Eventually, the dust settled, and Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch confirmed his agreement in a statement: “We are delighted that Tom has committed to joining the Fox team and wish him all the best during this upcoming season.”

Later this year, Fox will have a new face alongside announcer Kevin Burkhardt, as Tom Brady confirmed on his Let’s Go podcast, “I’ve got a big broadcasting job that’s going to start in September.” On and off the field, the 7x SB champ doesn’t fail to impress. But as for the supposed “witch” thing, perhaps it’s best to attribute Tom Brady’s bad luck with just bad luck that happens to everybody at some point in their lives.
