Denver is a city of champions. For the first time in their Association history, the Denver Nuggets are the NBA Champions. Nikola Jokić and Co looked unstoppable throughout the playoffs, sweeping LeBron James and the Lakers in the WCF before beating Miami 4-1 in the finals. And one Denver sporting superstar, despite not stepping on the court, has proven to be supremely lucky for the Mile High City. Yes, Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson was present at almost every home game. And the final was an even extra special moment for the Wilson family.

For Game 5, Russell Wilson didn’t go solo. After the Nuggets took a 3-1 lead over Jimmy Butler and the Heats, Danger Russ anticipated a Larry O’Brien Trophy in Monday night’s matchup. And the passer decided to grace the courtside with some very special people from his life.

All eyes were on the Finals MVP Nikola Jokić and his commander-in-chief Jamal Murray as Denver ended a 47-year drought with their first NBA title. However, from time to time, the cameras panned to NFL star quarterback Russell Wilson and his family on the courtside. Wilson and Ciara also brought along their three children, Future Zahir, Sienna, and Win-Harrison Wilson, to witness this special night.

$20 million-worth Grammy-winning R&B sensation Ciara made some heads turn with her all-black leather attire, while the couple dressed the kids in Nuggets jerseys. “Such a special moment. Denver Nuggets World Champions,” Russell Wilson captioned his post on social media, adding the hashtag, FamilyMemories.Amazing team,” Danger Russ wrote as he tweeted another picture of the Nuggets.

Despite the Nuggets blowing past the opposition this season, they are still lagging behind Denver’s other sporting franchises when it comes to championships. Both the Nuggets and the MLS’s Colorado Rapids have only one championship to their names. On the other hand, the Denver Broncos and NHL powerhouse, the Colorado Avalanche have three world championships each. However, the Broncos last won with Peyton Manning. And they want Super Bowl XLVIII winner Russell Wilson to get them their fourth Lombardi.
