Jim Harbaugh took away some of the power coaches from Michigan when he landed the HC job with the Los Angeles Chargers as a part of his plan to resume his unfinished business in the NFL. Tasked with developing a “crown jewel” like Justin Herbert, nothing is holding back the 60-year-old as he prepares for his stint with the Chargers.

A QB whisperer, Jim Harbaugh has eyes for talent as is seen from his success in developing several QBs including JJ McCarthy and Colin Kaepernick. With Justin Herbert, a QB who he admitted he was “starstruck” on meeting, he’s not going to leave anything to chance. But while it may have benefitted him, his plans were executed at the cost of Sherrone Moore’s coaching staff at Michigan.

Jim Harbaugh already has plans up his sleeve to prepare the young QB who already has several NFL records under his belt, including the most passing touchdowns by a rookie with 31. He brought two of the best coaches from Michigan Jesse Minter and Ben Herbert who will serve as DC and head strength and conditioning coach, respectively. With a mighty roster of coaches around Herbert, perhaps, Harbaugh might be able to lead the Chargers to a Super Bowl soon.
