Talking on BuffsTV on YouTube during the spring football media press conference, Deion Sanders reveals his mind on Shedeur Sanders. He made a revelation of why he didn’t let his QB son enter the NFL Draft this year. Coach Prime spoke of a possible scenario saying, “If Shedeur would’ve gone in the draft this year, he probably would have been the second. He wouldn’t have been the first quarterback off the board I think. He has the ability but he probably would have been the second quarterback off the board.”

While Shedeur Sanders performed incredibly well given the situation he was put in with a dismal offense, the CU Buffs didn’t have a season they expected last year as they fell 4-8. The 21-year-old recorded 3,230 yards and 27 TDs despite being sacked a record of 52 times. With several injuries taking a toll on him, he eventually had to sit out the last game against the Utah Utes due to upper body injury. While he has one more season to prove his worth in college football, let’s take a look at fellow QBs who’ll potentially be at the top of the board.

The Bears and Washington Commanders have the first and second pick and they’re both teams with QB requirements. Williams finished last season with 3,633 yards and 30 TDs while Daniels locked 3,812 yards and 40 TDs. If Shedeur Sanders enters the draft this year, the competition is intense. Deion Sanders wants to see his son at the top, thus he barred him from entering this year’s draft despite his eligibility.
