Motivation born out of the urge to eradicate doubt makes mighty things possible. This had precisely been the case for Colorado, whose impressive 3-0 winning streak caused a gradual erosion of passion amongst its players, resulting in a dismal defeat-streaked season. Despite their dominant 29-0 halftime lead, Deion Sanders’ Colorado endured a heartbreaking loss against Stanford before a packed crowd at Folsom Field.
Stanford executed a remarkable comeback to secure the win while the Buffaloes blundered, giving up on a game that coils have translated into a bowing win for them. Adam Munsterteiger, publisher of BuffStampede.com, and football analyst William Gardner recently dissected Colorado’s 46-43 double-overtime loss to Stanford and identified some serious coaching deficiencies in Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders’ efforts in Boulder.

“This team does not seem to be handling success so well,” opined Munsterteiger, who took note of the team’s inability to maintain consistency in terms of compassion and passion on the field. “When they are successful they seem to drop off and lose that intensity and don’t play well anymore,” he said before moving on to discuss how their ‘intensity’ was radiating during their first games since the players were motivated to prove their doubters wrong. But it was not just the players, the analysts highlighted “serious coaching deficiency in the second half,” of Colorado’s game against Stanford that resulted in “17 or 19 penalties in one game.”

Prime Time was able to identify the lack of passion that plagued his players in the second half of the game and attributed their loss to complacency. The coach pointed out that relying on someone else to make things happen won’t cut it. He emphasized the need for more drive and passion in the team’s performance.
