The Michigan Wolverines are in deep waters as they are accused of major rule-breaking. The team has been having an unbelievable season so far. With a total of  8 games played this season and the Wolverines being on an unbeaten streak, the fans have high hopes for this team to have a shot at the championship this year.

The Wolverines are being hailed as the top contenders for the championship but in recent news, the team has been called out for using unfair means. The Wolverines are accused of recording the other team’s signs and will soon be facing a penalty or otherwise. They’re further accused of sending people to their opponent’s games to record their signals and play calls to gain an illicit advantage over them. A recent user on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, summarised the rules that the team broke.

He wrote, “Note from an actual lawyer: Michigan broke TWO rules by going to games to record: 1) a rule restricting advanced scouting 2) a rule outlawing recording of signals.” The fans are wondering what the implications of the scandal will be on coach Jim Harbaugh and the rest of the management. Will it affect the points of the Wolverines on the scoreboard? Only time will tell the fate of the unbeaten team. While the Wolverines are being heavily criticized, Coach Prime had a different opinion on the matter altogether.

What did Coach Prime have to say about the Sign Signalling scandal?

When asked about his opinion on the Michigan cheating case, Deion Sanders had a very middle-ground response to say. He believes that all teams are trying to get an upper hand and that’s just how football has always been. Even after getting the information about the plays, the team will still have to block the attacks. Thus, the information doesn’t play a huge role in granting a team their victory.

He said, “You can have someone’s whole game plan, they can mail it to you, you still gotta stop it.” Coach Prime thinks that even if you know an attack is coming, the team still needs to block it and play the game. The scandal doesn’t affect him a lot and he doesn’t think that it is a big deal. It’s interesting to see if he’ll have the same response if the Wolverines play against the Colorado Buffaloes and they repeat the illegitimate activity again.
