There were a lot of rumours surrounding Aaron Rodgers in the buildup to the ongoing 2020 NFL season. The Green Bay Packers traded up to draft Ohio State QB Jordan Love in the offseason. That led to rumours that coach Matt LaFleur was gearing up for life after Rodgers in Wisconsin. But fast forward to December 2020 and we see a whole different picture.

The 37-year old Packers veteran is having one of the best seasons of his long-standing NFL career. He is leading the league in multiple throwing and passing categories and has the maximum passing TDs at the moment. He is closely followed by reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes.

“I feel like he’s an MVP, he deserves it. He’s earned it, he even got some rushing touchdowns in this year…but I’m loving playing with him. He makes the game easy for you. You could tell he’s a true vet and a true leader,” Jones said on the show.

Rodgers has already thrown for 4,000+ yards with 44 passing TDs to his name as we approach Week 17. He will be confident to keep up the good work as he aims for a third NFL MVP award.
