After DeSean Jackson, Philadelphia Eagles Looking to Cut Alshon Jeffery in 2021

The newly appointed Philadelphia Eagles HC Nick Sirianni faces a tough task ahead of him in 2021. The departure of QB Carson Wentz and WR DeSean Jackson are not the only exits that Philly could be dealing with in the offseason.
TE Zach Ertz could also be out the door as free agency looms, but the Eagles are prepared to cut another core squad member as well.
31-year-old wide receiver Alshon Jeffery was part of the Philadelphia Eagles side that won Super Bowl LII under the leadership of Doug Pederson and Nick Foles. But he will not be part of coach Sirianni’s new-look squad heading into the 2021 season.

NFL Network correspondent Ian Rapoport was the first to report that Alshon Jeffery will be cut by Philly in the coming weeks.
After suffering a foot injury towards the end of the 2019 season, the Eagles placed Jeffery on the active/physically unable to perform list in 2020. He made his first start of the season against divisional rivals New York Giants in Week 10.
