“Become a Man”: Jerry Jones Slams Truth Bomb on Dallas Cowboys Star During Major Crisis

The 9-3 Dallas Cowboys are in a prime position to secure themselves a wildcard berth in the NFC playoffs. Owner and President, Jerry Jones is hyped about the possibility of a Super Bowl championship after 26 years. However, Jerry feels there are certain things that are still not smooth enough for them to be a well-oiled machine.
And it has to do with Cowboys cornerback Kelvin Joseph. Joseph has primarily featured this season as off-the-corner secondary opposite to Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs. While Diggs has been playing his part, Kelvin Joseph spent his time irresponsibly with an offseason ridden with controversies. The once-promising rookie has now become a shell of his former self. And Jerry Jones wants some immediate change.

“Time for him to become a man….. accept a higher level of responsibility. He’s got more people depending on him…… It’s time for some of the side stuff to ease its way out of his life,” Jerry Jones said about 23-year-old Kelvin Joseph. The time has come for Joseph to step up after Dallas’ top cornerbacks, Anthony Brown and Jourdan Lewis became unavailable for the season.

The Dallas Cowboys chose Kelvin Joseph as a second-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft. And Cowboys Country had high expectations from the promising LSU and Kentucky cornerback. However, Kelvin only started 2 games in his rookie season, defending 2 passes. He missed 7 games. This season is also not going so well for Joseph after defending only one pass after playing 11 games for the Cowboys. However, Dallas GM Jones is more concerned about Joseph’s controversial headlines.
What Jerry Jones described as side stuff was, in actuality, way more sinister in nature. The Dallas police labelled Kelvin Joseph as a person of interest after his involvement in a car-based shooting incident. ESPN reported that Joseph was released after the two men in the said car were arrested. Jerry Jones is too hands-on an owner to tolerate these antics without sufficient results on the field.
