The end of this season brought about the end of an era: the Tom Brady era. For 22 seasons, the QB has inspired youngsters and entertained fans with the way he plays. However, the QB has claimed to move on to his next chapter in life. Through his social media, fans have gotten a glimpse of retired Brady, enjoying himself with his friends and family. However, after his previous supposed retirement, fans have constantly wondered if he’ll come back the way he did last time. Interestingly, after making some moves within the NFL after his retirement, Brady has made his playing status clear.

Recently, Brady sat down with the Associated Press and spoke about his future plans in the interview. He revealed his excitement to be part of the ownership of a team he holds a lot of feelings for. He also spoke about his lucrative 10-year deal with Fox Sports.

As a Californian native, Brady was influenced by multiple teams. While he was a staunch 49ers fan, he made it clear that he realized the huge impact the Raiders have had in the West. Adding on to this, while speaking to AP, he mentioned his reasons for buying a stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, formerly, the Oakland Raiders. TB12 spoke about how he admired the kind of impact the Raiders and its owners have made in the league. He gave props to the old owner, Al Davis, and how he wanted to emulate the impact Davis has had on the league. Per SportsNet, he said, “ And then the opportunity came about to become a minority owner in the Raiders, it was a dream come true for me.”

Brady also made his own intentions for his future clear. The retired QB explicitly mentioned that he will be going forward with the Raiders in a very passive role. Contrary to rumors about him playing in place of Jimmy Garoppolo, Brady stressed how passive the job is going to be for him. By putting a huge wet blanket over the rumors of him returning for Garoppolo, the ex-QB has made his priorities for his future clear.

Brady’s future plans and his commitments

For some time now, Brady has been involved in one of the biggest deals Fox Sports has ever made. The deal stipulates that upon retirement, Brady would join Fox Sports as one of their lead analysts. Brady’s deal came with the condition that this deal would come into effect as soon as he retired. However, the QB has gone on to state that he’ll be taking a break from football for a year. He has been spending time with his family and friends but is set to join the network in 2024. The deal itself is a 10-year deal that offers the ex-QB a whopping $375 million.

With his priorities clear, Brady has made it clear to the fans that he will not be stepping on the field again. However, TB12 is still going to stay connected to football. It only remains to be seen how he’ll affect change through his position as a minority stake owner with the Raiders
