The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers rivalry is as old as the NFL itself. There have been some memorable encounters between both these NFC North teams over the years. Both teams have a shared total of 22 NFL Championships between them, including five Super Bowl titles (Packers -4, Bears -1).
There have been some epic encounters between both these NFC North big boys. But few can compare to their 2018 Week 1 game at Lambeau Field. Who was the standout performer that day? Well, you guessed it right, it was Aaron Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers leads the Packers to a massive win back in 2018
The Packers were off to a slow start against the Bears on their home turf. They fell to an early 0-7 deficit at the end of the first quarter. But things took a turn for the worse in the next quarter with 9:22 on the clock. Aaron was sacked at his own 25-yard line by Bears defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris. He tried to shake it off but his left knee looked to be in bad shape.

“It was painful. Got it checked out, was in some pain so we wanted to do some further tests back in the locker room area. Came back in, did some tests, felt like I couldn’t further injure it at the time, so doc and I agreed I could go back in and play,” Rodgers said via Green Bay Press Gazette.

The Packers brought on DeShon Kizer to replace Rodgers, trailing at 17-0 at the end of the second quarter. At that point of the game, Aaron Rodgers was just 3-for-7 for 13 yards with a rating of 50.3. He was sacked twice. Things looked bleak for the home team as they were edging towards a damning loss against their divisional rivals.
However, what happened next will remain etched in the minds of Packers folklore. Rodgers came on in the third quarter and quickly began to turn things around making some quick plays. He connected with WRs Davante Adams and Randall Cobb for two passing TDs as the Packers edged towards a miraculous comeback.

With Rodgers in ‘God Mode’, the Packers pulled off a stunning 24-23 win over their arch-rivals which almost brought the house down at Lambeau. The veteran NFL star ended up throwing for 286 yards with three passing TDs. Is there anything this man can’t do?
