The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went back to losing ways on Sunday. After a shocking overtime loss against the Cleveland Browns, Tom Brady and Co are 5-6 this season. The Buccaneers are lucky they are in the NFC South where they still top the division. And Tom Brady feels lucky to be in the hunt for the playoffs at 45.

On the November 28 episode of the ‘Let’s Go Podcast’ with Tom Brady, Jim Gray and Larry Fitzgerald, TB12 shared his game plan and thought process at the twilight of his career. Brady is on his second spell in the league after his mini-retirement in February this year. There were speculations that this ultimately led to the end of his 13-year marriage with Gisele Bündchen.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost 23-17 to the Cleveland Browns. This brought an end to a historic Tom Brady record streak. Brady had not lost, with his team ahead by seven points and with less than two minutes left, in 218 games. Jim Gray asked Brady about his recently broken streak and if he intends to start a fresh streak next season. Brady was excited to have a go initially. However, the seven-time Super Bowl champion later acknowledged the absurdity of it.

Tom Brady surely isn’t playing like a 45-year-old quarterback. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB has more than 3000 passing yards after Week 12 along with 14 touchdowns. He has only been intercepted twice and currently sits on a 92.4 passer rating. Brady is breaking records and setting standards too hard to be broken. Recently, TB12 crossed the 100,000 passing yard mark against the LA Rams. However, Brady knows he doesn’t have the twenty years required to build that 218-0 streak again.

I’m on borrowed time, anyway. I love competing still. But I would say, at this point its day-to-day, game-to-game,” the 15x Pro Bowler said. “I’m just focused on what we need to do to improve this week. And go out and practice,” he added. Brady is in the final year of his contract with the Buccaneers and will be a free agent after this season. His next destination is uncertain. However, the NFL’s most-winning quarterback wants to keep winning.
