When one of the biggest names in the NFL & MLB was hospitalized a couple of weeks ago. Many were left dumbfounded as Coach Prime was under threat of amputation. Deion Sanders was enduring a tough time while in the hospital as the former athlete was informed of a clot in his leg. This was the second time in less than a decade that Sanders has faced dire circumstances ahead of him.

On the edge of emptiness, having lost hope and peace in his life. Sanders has turned it around to become a beacon of hope and inspiration for his fans. And lately, after a successful procedure that avoided amputation for the recovering legend. Sanders has been posting inspirational quotes for his 3.4 Million fans on Instagram.

The former Falcons WR has been a man reformed after his experiences in the last couple of weeks. Especially with his persona, that has pushed him to share motivation with those that follow him and supported him on social media. He has been posting stories which will leave many inspired from the words they read.

The latest story reflected on assisting others even when you are in a mess of your own. Sanders story on IG read, “One of your greatest tests is when you are able to bless someone else while you are going through your own storm.” It perfectly resonates with Sanders and what the last couple of weeks have brought to him and he has stood tall, regardless. Bouncing back to serve his community with words of wisdom. Coach Prime has wasted little time to give back to the community who have helped him reach the heights he is at.

Adding onto the previous words of wisdom, Sanders goes onto share quotes which resonate with his devotion to God. “Worry is a conversation you have with yourself about things you cannot change. Prayer is a conversation you have with God about things He can change.” Sanders had turned to god to find meaning and purpose for himself years ago and is continuing his purpose to this day. Sanders has had quite an impact motivating those around him, but another NFL star went one step further back in 2012.

Stanford inspired to win the NIT by NFL star

Ray Lewis was invited by the faculty of Stanford back in 2012. The academy had been on a drought streak of sorts, having not won a basketball competition for a while. He joined the students before their tie in the semifinals of the NIT. Lewis would speak to the students about effort and what it means to win and lose. “Wins and losses come a dime a dozen. But effort, nobody can judge cause effort is between you and you,” says Lewis in the locker-room.

The words had quite the impact on the Stanford students. They went on to beat the University of Massachusetts in the game. And they would go on to top off the semi-final victory with that of a trophy hoist as they beat Minnesota in the final. Motivational words from the former Ravens star was enough to ignite the fire they needed to go all the way.

Deion Sanders has been a role model for many during his time as a player and coach. He has kept bouncing back from all the hardships experienced in life. With that he has continued to give his all to the people around him. He’ll hope to join his new side Colorado Buffaloes soon enough and lead them on.
