“Love You Pops”: Antonio Brown Shows Rare Appreciation for His Prominent Hall of Fame Father Figure

The quote goes ‘the higher you climb, the longer your fall’. No one encapsulates this as wholly as Antonio Brown. While he rose to fame and success rapidly, his athletic talents on the field are not an excuse enough to overlook his antics off the field. However, there are occasional times when AB tweets something that surprises people. Recently, AB put out a tweet congratulating a father figure of his in the NFL.

He has been taking obscene digs at his old teammates and tweeting incomprehensible words. However, this time it was different.

Antonio Brown and his mentor

Antonio Brown has complicated relationships with a lot of people in the NFL. However, the rapper has a great relationship with Deion Sanders. The Hall of Famer and the rapper seem to have a great friendship. Sanders has been a father figure since the duo first started speaking. They have even had a heartfelt conversation online, wherein Sanders has divulged his darkest thoughts.

AB recently tweeted showing support for Sanders, just days after he took the head coach position at Colorado. The rapper shared a screenshot of news that indicated Sanders had committed half his salary to the Jackson State Football facilities.

The rapper showed his mentor love and tweeted, “Love u pops piss I miss your game see you soon”. It is seldom that one sees AB being kind and coherent in his tweets but this was a rare occasion. However, AB’s relationship with Sanders is a special one.

Sanders and AB: The unlikely duo

While the duo being friends is very unusual, the relationship AB has with Sanders seems very genuine and wholesome. There is a video of the duo talking about the different emotional turmoil they’ve both faced. Sanders spoke about the emotional load in his personal life and said, “I got to an emotional load I’m a devastation of personal never tried to check out,” and mentioned his pursuit in trying to find a balance in his life. He also gave AB great advice about the glamorous life and had a deep conversation with the ex-wide receiver.

While there might be different controversies regarding AB, his relationship with Sanders remains untarnished. The question that remains is what might Sanders’ thoughts be on AB’s recent actions.
