Aaron Rodgers has recently stated that he might want to move out of the Green Bay Packers. Many, including the legendary Giants’ quarterback Eli Manning, believe it is a mistake. The Green Bay Packers have a lot of things to figure out next season, and Aaron Rodgers is one of them.

The quarterback has said that he does not wish to be a part of a rebuilding squad. Rodgers stated that he would rather leave the team that drafted him than stay till his career ends. Winning championships is more important than loyalty for Rodgers.

Eli Manning on his and Peyton’s loyalty to their teams

Eli Manning was one of those players who exclusively only played for one club. The Chargers originally picked Eli, but they traded him to the New York Giants in 2004. Manning stayed with the Giants till the end of his career in 2019. He won the Super Bowl twice while playing for New York.

Eli’s older brother, Peyton Manning, wanted to do the same. Eli stated, “Peyton never wanted to leave [the Colts].” Manning adds, “He was kind of forced out. He had the [neck] injury, they were going to draft Andrew Luck, and he had to move. He wanted to keep playing, and it was a little different scenario.”

NFL Legend Peyton Manning and Wife Become Donors to Renovate Local Golf Course

Peyton Manning was the number one overall pick in the 1998 NFL draft by the Colts. He spent 18 years in the league. For 14 of those years, he played for the Indianapolis Colts. But “the Sheriff” joined the Denver Broncos for his final four seasons. Peyton also won two Super Bowls before he retired in 2015. Eli said his older brother had to leave due to a neck injury. If given the choice, Peyton would have retired in Indianapolis.

Eli stated that his brother never wanted to leave the Colts. But Aaron Rodgers on the other hand wants to leave Green Bay behind. According to Eli, it is strange for a quarterback to leave the place he has played for his entire career.
