Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen parted ways on October 28. The former duo filed their divorce papers and wished each other the best future. A long dispute pertaining to marital stability came to a close. However, a new one emerged in the name of FTX. 

Incidentally, social media and TikTok pointed out a conspiracy angle. TikTok channel Culturework said the media hype behind the divorce had an agenda. They cited the idea was to protect the assets of the former power couple. The channel also argued it aimed to deviate attention from the lawsuits. 

Meanwhile, attorney Lexie Rigden of Rigden Law LLC said the divorce did not stand as an escape method. He said, “divorce wouldn’t be a good way to hide anything.” The experienced attorney added a separation does not discharge both parties from liability. Notably, Holly Davis of Kirker Davis LLP echoed a similar view. He added Brady missing 11 days of the pre-season camp showed he had some knowledge about the collapse. 

Tom Brady and top stars named in FTX lawsuit

Tom Brady, NBA star Stephen Curry, and baseball pitcher Shohei Ohtani are among the defendants in the class-action lawsuit filed against FTX in Florida. The allegation is that athletes and Bankman-Fried made customers suffer over $11 billion by violating norms. 

Tom Brady and his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, took major equity stakes in the company in 2021. The NFL icon also starred in its commercials. The FTX’s idea to enhance the message to other sports through NFL got delivered via TB12.
