‘For The Kids, Not the Critics’ – Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown Reveals His Motivation For Playing In The NFL

Marquise Brown during his Week 4 clash against the Denver Broncos surely shut his doubters when he went full Superman mode to catch a spectacular 49-yard touchdown in the second quarter of the game.
The diving catch was surely a delight to all the spectators, but for the wide receiver, it was so much more than that. During his game against the Lions, he failed to get hold of the ball. He scuffed an inviting touchdown pass from Lamar Jackson, inviting the wrath of his critiques.

Marquise Brown doesn’t play for the critics
However, during an interview, the 24-year-old Ravens receiver revealed that his motivation to bounce back is not to shut his doubters but to show the kids back home that no matter how hard you hit rock bottom there is always room to show improvement and rise despite all the doubters surrounding them.

“I really do it for all the low kids,” Brown explained. “You know who look up to me and watch me and I got kids in South Florida. They want to see how I respond. They want to see how I bounce back. So when they have a bad day, you know when they have something bad that happens to them; they know there’s no reason to get down or get discouraged. That they could come back and really prove themselves.”

Brown- an idol for many young kids from Florida

Marquise is truly an inspiration model and for kids to idolize someone like him brings a breeze of positive energy from all sides. The Florida-born football player has himself dealt with those situations and knows what the kids really need when the times are tough with no one to seek help from.
Brown has always been a spectacular athlete since his days in South Broward High School in Hollywood, where he also ran track. Although his athletic abilities and agility were better off tested in the gridiron.
