Transitioning to Rodgers’ move from Green Bay to the big city, Andrews pointed out the invigorating atmosphere of New York. Rodgers, with a smile, acknowledged, “It’s been a new chapter [in New York]. That chapter [in Green Bay] has been closed. It was a beautiful one, but this is a new chapter about a brand-new slate to let these guys get to know who I am.” to showcase his true self and leadership style to his new teammates. He also commented on the opportunity to participate in “Hard Knocks,” a show that he felt had portrayed him inaccurately.

‘Hard Knocks’ won America’s heart

Andrews wasted no time in delving into the “Hard Knocks” experience, asking Rodgers “Skeptical about ‘Hard Knocks’ or not?” Rodgers admitted “I was. I just thought it was super distracting,” but confessed that he ultimately found the experience enjoyable.

The conversation then shifted to Rodgers’ newfound status as “America’s Sweetheart.” Andrews inquired about the change in perception, “You ended up being America’s sweetheart. Why did the perception change? I mean so many people come and say ‘I love Aaron Rodgers’”

And Rodgers attributed it to staying true to himself, “Well, I think we know why. I built up a reputation for a while, and a lot of people tried to jump on top of me.” Football star emphasized that he had never acted for a TV show, “I’m thankful that people get to see me.” “This isn’t like a brand-new me. I wasn’t f—ing acting for a TV show. I was just being who I always am. It was the first time in my 19 years somebody’s captured it in that way” MVP Aaron Rodgers continued.

The interview reached its climax with Andrews posing a question about the upcoming season opener, “What do you think Monday night is gonna be like?” where all eyes would be on Rodgers and the Jets. With an infectious smile, Rodgers acknowledged, “It’s a real exciting Jets and a New York, but there will be a lot of butterflies. It makes you feel like you’re alive.”
