All’s well that ends well. That certainly was the case for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady last season. While the franchise clinched its first Super Bowl in almost two decades, the quarterback celebrated winning ring #7.
Unstoppable in the playoffs, the franchise hit all the right notes to be crowned champions of the world last season. But few could’ve predicted this outcome at the start of the season.
Even fewer midway through it. The Buccaneers were 7-5 heading into their bye-week after losing 27-24 to the Kansas City Chiefs. The same Chiefs the Bucs would go on to romp in the Super Bowl.

The team’s early struggles are now better-explained thanks to Tom Brady’s recent comments. The quarterback recently said that he had struggled to pick up the Buccaneers playbook after spending 20 seasons at New England.
But it was during Week 12 loss to the Chiefs which according to Buccaneers Head Coach Bruce Arians was the turning point for Tom Brady at Tampa.

Early struggles soon passed for Tom Brady
Talking to the media after the first day of rookie minicamp, Bruce Arians said that it was true that Brady struggled to get used to the Buccaneers‘ playbook.
Then fielding a question from Joebucsfan.com, talked about which point in the NFL season Brady became comfortable enough to utilize the Bucs’ entire playbook.

“Probably the Kansas City game,” Arians said. “The second, third and fourth quarters (during the loss to the Chiefs) we started playing really, really well. From there on, we attacked,” said Arians.

“We took that attack-mode philosophy and I think we were on the same page from there on out,” he added.

And attack they did as the franchise went on to win all of their remaining games in the regular season. Finishing with a 12-5 record, the Bucs brushed past the WFT, New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs then in the playoffs to be crowned NFL champions of the 2020 season.
Now looking to defend their crown, Tom Brady will be much more comfortable having had a season with the new playbook under his belt.
