Prior to the start of the season, Tom Brady announced his stance. Given he is 45 years old now, many expected him to eventually hang his cleats. However, in March, just after forty days, he came out of retirement. After that, the team revised his contract. Brady’s season’s derailment may be due to a secret stipulation in that contract.
According to the new contract, Tampa Tom got the freedom to take Wednesday off. This shows just how powerful the elite shot-caller is. For NFL teams, Wednesday is not just another day. Walk-throughs help offenses improve their interplay and become more familiar with game plans. The quarterback has justified taking the day off, but not everyone agrees.
An NFL expert, Bill Simmons, lashed out at the seven-time Super Bowl-winning QB saying, “He doesn’t practice on Wednesday’s. He fu*king went to Bob Kraft’s wedding on Friday night in New York City. They had a game on Sunday! Why is he in New York City on a Friday night, he’s supposed to be the leader of the team!”
