Aaron Rodgers is yet to provide any definitive insight regarding his future in the NFL. The Green Bay Packers quarterback, who is reportedly looking to move on from the franchise has kept his cards close to his chest.
The franchise though has maintained that they are unwilling to trade the quarterback. Rodgers has been part of the Packers franchise since 2005 and his departure would definitely leave a major dent in the side’s Super Bowl ambitions.
But even with a Rodgers exit likely on the cards, the franchise has a quarterback to fall back on. A quarterback for the future.

The Packers drafted quarterback Jordan Love with their first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Seen as the replacement for Rodgers, in the scenario of an exit for the side’s QB1, Love will be the one called on to replace the veteran.
While Love had to stick to the bench through his rookie season thanks to Aaron Rodgers hitting the form of his life, the scenario could be different in 2021.
Jordan Love putting in the hard work
The rookie has been putting in the hours at the Packers‘ training facility. And all that hard work isn’t going unnoticed. Speaking to the media, Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur talked about Love’s development over the year.

LaFleaur talked about the quarterback’s progression in picking up the fundamentals need to excel at the quarterback position.
“You can tell that he’s put in the time this offseason, not only just lifting and running and coming in in good football shape. But also you can tell he’s put in the time in his craft in trying to continue to work on his mechanics, his fundamentals that are so critical to playing the position at the highest level possible.”

Still a long way to go to becoming a franchise QB like Rodgers, LaFleur lauded the backup QB’s commitment and mindset.
“He’s still got a lot to learn. I think he can tell you that, but he’s going to take it one day at a time. He goes out there with purpose. I like his mindset right now,” he said.
The thought of seeing Rodgers donning the jersey of an NFL franchise apart from that of the Packers seems nearly impossible. But that might end up being a possibility very soon.
