The Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills put on a show Sunday Night. The two sides locked horns to produce arguably the best Divisional Game in NFL ever. Courtesy to Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen who made it possible. The two young beasts characterized themselves as the next-gen rivals of the NFL and possible successor of the Brady vs. Manning rivalry.
It rained touchdowns in the Arrowhead Stadium as both the quarterbacks denied to back down and scored four touchdowns each, making it a blockbuster night for the NFL. The night ended with the Chiefs taking full advantage of the overtime possession denying the Bills offense a chance to even touch the ball. The Chiefs won the game but both the QBs won the hearts.

Josh Allen set the pace of the game by leading the Bills offense to a touchdown in every drive, while Mahomes seemed to have all the answers to him. Mahomes trailed and equalized the score in every possession.

According to the senior writer of Front Office Sports, Michael McCarthy, CBS Sports revealed that the OT classic clash between the Chiefs and the Bills “averaged 42.736 million viewers — peaking at 51.697 million viewers. That’s up 18% vs. last year’s comparable game window. It was the most-watched Divisional Playoff game in 5 years.”

Unfortunately, the game did not produce as much viewership to compete with the most-watched games in NFL history. In fact, it was not even half of it. The most-watched game in the NFL ever is the Super Bowl XLIX played between Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots. The game had a record number of 114,442,000 viewers.
