Now fans are wondering whether universally acclaimed singer Taylor Swift would take part in the Super Bowl halftime show next year.

 The news got widespread as the NFL revealed at midnight ET that Apple Music is the new sponsor of the Super Bowl halftime show. The ‘Swifties’ aka fans of Taylor Swift speculated that the US singer is performing in the Super Bowl 2023. In 2022, Mary J. Blige performed at the Super Bowl halftime show along with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, and Kendrick Lamar.

The Super Bowl halftime show is the single largest platform in the world for music artists. It had 103 million viewers this year. Taylor Swift, with her wide range of popularity, is an obvious choice for such a mass appealing event.

Super Bowl can be used as a teaser for her upcoming world tour, believes her fans. Apple’s association and her loyalty also make it possible to think the singer might perform next year. “Apple treated me like I was a voice of a creative community that they actually cared about,” Swift once said, talking about the association. 

NFL and entertainment go hand in hand

Earlier, the NFL made a long-term partnership with Jay-Roc Z’s Nation Organisation in 2019 based on entertainment. This also includes the halftime show. At present, there isn’t any clarity on their role next season.

The announcement of last year’s halftime show was made on September 30. So, this year’s details will be unveiled soon. Meanwhile, the Super Bowl LVII is held on February 12 in Arizona. Seasoned campaigners like Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers will vie for the top crown for their teams.
