Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith Schuster was one of the most sought-after players in this year’s free agency market. With his rookie contract running out, the WR was high on the list of many franchises looking to strengthen their receiving corps.
But ultimately the wide receiver stuck around in Pittsburgh by signing a 1-year contract extension with the franchise worth $8 million. Now a Steeler for at least 1 more year, JuJu recently opened up about the teams that were after his signature.

While talking to Taylor Biscotti of the NFL Network, JuJu Smith Schuster was asked about the teams that were looking to sign for him next season. And in the end, he said, it boiled down to two teams.
“I was talking to a few. The Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens. But more so it was Baltimore. They were pushing hard in probably like the last six hours of free agency. Even Kansas City was coming in strong,” the wide receiver said.

Schuster was drafted by the Steelers franchise in 2017. But unfortunately, his time in the league has been marred with controversies surrounding his antics on the field.
After receiving harsh criticism from analysts and players alike for dancing on opposition teams’ logo before games in 2020, the wide receiver ended his previous campaign by name-calling division rivals Cleveland Browns after their early playoff loss.
Signing again with the Steelers, JuJu Smith Schuster took to Twitter to share his excitement.
