The NFL is currently a hotbed of supremely talented wide receivers. And Minnesota Vikings no. 18 Justin Jefferson ranks very high on that list. However, the LSU wide receiver had a relatively average night in the win against the Jets. But that doesn’t mean the Jets defense gets the right to talk trash to Jefferson.

Justin Jefferson didn’t stay mum when NY Jets cornerback Dennis Duane Reed undermined JJ’s playing effort on Sunday. Reed did a stellar job blocking the routes for the 2nd ranked receiver in the league in receiving yards right now. Jefferson only recorded 45 yards with 1 touchdown in the win and made 7 catches out of his 11 targets. And DJ thinks he had a lot to do with that. And JJ disagreed.

Justin Jefferson Sets Historic Feat After Eclipsing Randy Moss’ Thought to Be Unbeatable Record After More Than 2 Decades

I was in his s—-t all day. He had that one route on me. So I’m frustrated. But I felt like a great job containing him,” 26-year-old DJ Reed said after the 27-22 loss to the Vikings. And Vikings WR Jefferson didn’t take lightly to the comment. “In what s—t? You can’t talk having safety help. Call me when yo coach trust you to go 1v1,” Justin tweeted.

Can Justin Jefferson beat DJ Reed 1v1 ?

Justin Jefferson already has 1267 receiving yards after Week 13 this season. The 23-year-old wide receiver has 6 touchdowns and ranks 3rd in the overall WR charts this season behind Davante Adams and Stefon Diggs. New York Jets CB DJ Reed, on the other hand, doesn’t rank in the top 50 cornerbacks in the league right now. And Justin thinks Reed has a long way to go before matching up 1v1. Some fans think JJ was right to talk back, and the safety help was there for a good reason.

Jefferson even had his only touchdown in the game when he won a route duel with DJ Reed. Reed even pushed Justin, but the latter managed to hold on to the ball in the end zone for the score. However, despite the loss, some fans didn’t appreciate the brazen arrogance on display from the Vikings wide receiver.
