Tom Brady has had the good fortune of picking some brilliant teammates in the past. Whether they were his teammates in New England or teammates at Tampa Bay, the QB has gone on to form many connections that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. Keeping this in mind, the NFL legend is surely experiencing mixed emotions right now. In the past 24 hours, there has been some dichotomous news about two of Brady’s teammates. While on the one hand, Brady might be relieved, a piece of entirely different information about an old teammate has brought on agony.

An ex-teammate of Brady’s from Tampa Bay recently took to social media to share news about a terrifying incident. Sadly, there was also some harrowing news that recently went viral that indicated that an old teammate of Brady’s from the Patriots has passed away.

The teammate in question is former NFL quarterback, Ryan Mallet. Mallet was a QB who played for various teams in the NFL, including the New England Patriots. In 2012 and 2013, he played backup for Brady. Per the NFL, Mallet unexpectedly passed away as he drowned offshore of the Gulf Shore Drive in Destin, Florida. The ex-NFL QB was 35 years of age.

After his passing, Brady’s old team even went on to release a statement, mentioning their grief for the passing of their former player. They mentioned how their thoughts are with the family and all of those who are mourning his loss. They said, “The New England Patriots are deeply saddened to learn of the sudden and unexpected passing of former quarterback Ryan Mallett. Our thoughts are with the Mallett family, his former teammates and all who are mourning his loss.” Even Brady himself was saddened with the passing of his old teammate. He took to his Instagram story to mourn his old friend. He went on to mention how Mallet’s loss is a profound one and sent his condolences to the Mallet family. Moreover, another tragedy did befall a former teammate of Brady as well. The recent accident involved an old teammate of Brady’s from Tampa Bay.

A close call for one of Brady’s teammates

While Brady’s old teammate from the Patriots suffered an unfortunate fate, an ex-target for Brady also had a very close call. Leonard Fournette recently took to Instagram to share a scary image of his close call on the freeway. The running back went on to share a reel that showed his predicament. Reportedly, the running back was driving and his car caught fire. His car was charred and burnt to a crisp in the video he put on social media. He also spoke about how lucky he was to escape the burning car unscathed. The running back said, “Man it was one of those days today, but I would like to thank God, my car caught on fire while I was driving, But I’am still blessed.

All in all, Brady’s former teammates have both been in situations that are sure to cause a lot of dual emotions for the QB. While the news of Mallet’s passing is one that is unbearably sad, Fournette’s near escape is certainly a reprieve. With such a dichotomous situation, the best one can hope for is peace for the Mallet family and a lucky prayer for Fournette’s close call.
