The NFL’s golden son, Tom Brady, has made an interesting statement again about his future plans in the league. Retirement rumors are never too far off for the quarterback. He recently made comments on his podcast that caught the ears of the listeners.

The star quarterback spoke about the possibility of him returning and playing next year as well. Jim Gray also mentioned an interesting 218-game streak stat that he lost after losing his most recent game.

Tom Brady on coming back again

On his podcast with Jim Gray, Tom Brady mentioned his interest in returning to the league next year. Jim Gray asked Brady about an interesting record that the quarterback lost in his most recent loss. Furthermore, Grey also asked him if he’ll be coming back next year to revive the stat. Brady had an interesting response.

The star quarterback mentioned that his coming back to fulfill the 218 game-streak would be very ambitious. When asked if he’ll be coming back, Brady simply laughed. He talks about his love for competition and his approach and said,‘I’m on borrowed time anyway so you know I love competing still but um you know at this point like you’ve always said it’s it’s day-to-day game-to-game.” He also said, “I’m just focused on what we need to do to improve this week and go out and practice,” indicating his willingness to enjoy the competitive aspects of the game. Brady also spoke about why he came out of retirement and what he loves the most about football.

Brady’s love for the game

Brady was also asked how being down 4-5 for the first time feels. Subsequently, the question entailed doubts about Brady coming back to play. He replied with confidence and said he does not regret coming back to play. He also said, “I don’t really regret those types of things — I think when I commit to it, I mean it, and I do my best and try to give everything I can to this particular opportunity.” Brady also clarified why he wanted to come back to play and told about his team’s reaction.

Brady clarified his team’s reaction to his return and said, “I returned because I felt like I wanted to compete, and I spoke to the team about it, and they were excited to have me back.” Subsequently, Brady’s return brought about a lot of excitement for the fans. Brady’s return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made the city happy beyond measure. However, the question that remains is how long will Brady stay until he retires again.
