Former NBA player Nick “Swaggy P” Young was in deep conversation with former NFL WR Antonio Brown about his career. Swaggy P was stating to AB that the Buccaneers QB Tom Brady did sacrifice monetarily to rope AB to his team. The conversation did take place during AB’s appearance during the I Am Athlete Kumbaya session. Brown though did have his take on Brady and his actions towards bringing him back in 2020.
It was yet another perspective into the whole Brown leaving the Buccaneers situation. One of the co-hosts of the session and former NFL WR Brandon Marshall did reveal texts from Swaggy P. Both the hosts were in conversation about coming together for interviewing Brown and that AB needs to be real with himself. Swaggy did look like he was caught off guard but did provide clarification on his texts.

The former Lakers player states, “I thought Tom Brady gave him a chance…After that situation, Tom was the only one who could’ve gave him a chance. I don’t think that there is nobody else in Tom’s shoes, who could do what Tom did. I don’t think there is anybody like him who could bring somebody back to life.”

Brown does appear to try and make sense of Swaggy’s claims and does indeed retort to some of them. He believes Tom Brady didn’t bring him back to life and was only looking at winning another championship. He does believe to some degree and agrees with Swaggy P and his comments about being thankful to Brady for giving him another opportunity.
He does compare the stature of Brady in modern NFL with those of late NBA legend Kobe Bryant in his sport. The Black Mamba was a highly respected player in the NBA and his words did have a hold. Similarly, Brown states that Brady does have the same hold and he respects his gratitude to give him another opportunity. He does talk about being grateful and does feel thankful that someone like Brady does care enough about him.
