Former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick did not play football after the 2016 season. After almost 6-years, there was a ray of hope for the quarterback, as the Raiders tried Kaepernick for a workout. Last month, it was widely reported that Kaepernick was able to impress everyone with his strong arm strength.

Well, now a former Raiders player is claiming to have an insight into the Kaepernick’s workout sessions with the Las Vegas Raiders. According to the former defensive lineman Warren Sapp, Kaepernick had a bad day while performing in the workouts.

Warren Sapp said on Vlad TV, “I heard it was a disaster. I heard one of the worst workouts ever. I’m wondering how the hell this happened, and the tape didn’t get out, right? I mean, somebody wasn’t over the fence or nothing? Come on, man.”

Hall of Fame defensive lineman Warren Sapp says the workouts were a disaster. It is still not confirmed from where he heard the news because not many people were present at the Raiders workout. Except for the wide receivers, only the Raiders HC Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler were present.

After the workouts happened, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated said the workouts went fine, but Kaepernick was not able to blow the minds of the people present there. Raiders have still not made the decision, and they might stick to Nick Mullens and Jarrett Stidham as the backup options for Derek Carr.

As no official statement has come from the Raiders, there is a solid chance that Kaepernick won’t be playing this season. If he had made an impact, the Raiders would have already considered him as their backup QB.

Kaepernick had his successful 6-years when he started for the San Francisco 49ers. The star QB also led his team to the Super Bowl in 2013, but unfortunately lost to Baltimore Ravens by 34-31. In 2016, Kaepernick played his last season, which was a disaster. Kap started for 11 matches in that season and lost 10 out of them.
