The New England Patriots can easily go down as the surprise franchise of the last two decades. An unlikely union of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick kick-started one of the most dominant dynasties in the NFL. With Brady, the Pats won 6 Super Bowls. While they had their celebration parades in Boston, the fans of other teams looked bitterly at the ever-dominant team. Only a very handful in the league could actually hold their own against them. Among them, the New York Giants and Eli Manning hold the biggest bragging right.

Manning’s 2-0 Super Bowl record against TB12 still remains one of the few eyesores in the 45-year-old’s unmatchable legacy in the league. It looks like Eli is never going to let it go, or even let the Pats forget as Tedy Bruschi, former Patriot and 3 times Super Bowl champion, recently got the reminder of those games.

The Monday night game between Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys was being covered on the Manningcast. The list of guests joining Peyton Manning and Eli included the name of Brady’s former teammate, Tedy Bruschi. While easing the nerves of the retired LB before his confrontation with two QBs, Eli handed a subtle slam to him by bringing up the playoff pain of Bruschi.

The LB was part of the team, which lost in the Super Bowl to Eli and the Giants in 2008. Following the regular season in 2007, the Patriots were looking to be the NFL’s undefeated champions. However, they had their party spoiled by the Giants. With the team trailing, 14-10 to the opposition, the QB led a game-winning drive with an iconic one-handed helmet catch by David Tyree. That is still one of the biggest plays in the history of the franchise.
