The Arizona Cardinals have lost their winning ways at a crucial point in the NFL season. The Big Reds lost two out of their last three games. All these Ls came against their divisional rivals. Former NFL legend and present analyst Troy Aikman had some harsh words for the Cardinals’ underwhelming show of effort.
The Cardinals lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL’s last international fixture of the season in Mexico. Cowboys QB legend Troy Aikman was in charge of broadcasting and announcing the matchup on Monday Night Football. And the 3x Super Bowl Champion did not like the way the Cardinals defended against the Niners.

One particular defensive error from Arizona cornerback Antonio Hamilton irked the 6x Pro Bowler the most. Troy Aikman couldn’t help but express himself on MNF. Arizona Cardinals fans would surely not disagree with Aikman’s take on the matter.
"This is embarrassing for the Arizona Cardinals … Antonio Hamilton doesn't come up after all the tackles he made last week and even *try* to make an attempt on George Kittle… They're a losing football team, and they're playing like one on that play."- Troy Aikman 🏈 #MNF pic.twitter.com/ahpDHvcPRv

“This is embarrassing for the Arizona Cardinals,” Aikman said before continuing. “Hamilton doesn’t come up after all the tackles he made last week and even try to make an attempt on George Kittle.”
What did the Arizona Cardinals do to rile up cool Troy Aikman?
The particular play in question happened in the 4th quarter of the San Francisco 49ers’ 38-10 win over the Cardinals at Estadio Azteca. Aikman was thoroughly unimpressed when Cardinals’ cornerback Antonio Hamilton made no effort to stop star Niners tight end George Kittle from making a run to the end zone after catching a fake-pass-throw from QB Jimmy Garoppolo. The Cardinals CB seemed to be in a position to knock Kittle out of bounds before the touchdown. However, Kittle ran for the TD unscathed without any trouble.
