A lot of NFL players have been known to date and marry models. Whether it’s Rob Gronkowski, George Kittle, or someone like Tom Brady, dating models seem to be a common trend in the league. Interestingly, a player from the New England Patriots seems to be following the same steps.

A player from the defensive team of the New England Patriots went on to make a life-altering decision with Victoria’s Secret model. As pictures of his decision went viral all over Instagram, one couldn’t help but be reminded of another Patriots legend.

A Patriot with Victoria’s Secret model once again

The Patriot in question, Davon Godchaux, was featured in an Instagram post of the model, Chanel Iman. Her Instagram post showcased the couple partaking in a life-altering decision. The model and the defensive tackle have decided to get engaged. The model took to Instagram to share images showcasing the tackle down on one knee for the model.

Reportedly, the model and the tackle are already expecting their first child. Interestingly, the model is already a mother to two from her previous marriage with another football player, Sterling Shephard.

Another interesting coincidence is that Davon seems to be following the footsteps of legendary QB and ex-Patriot, Tom Brady. He was also involved and married to a former Victoria’s Secret model, Gisele Bündchen.

While the defensive tackle might have just proposed to the Victoria’s Secret model, he is not the first Patriot to do so. Years before him, NFL legend and ex-Patriot QB, Tom Brady was also involved with a Victoria’s Secret model. In fact, Brady’s ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen has been one of the most popular models in the world. They got married to each other in 2009 and have had 2 beautiful children. However, even though the tackle’s married life is just starting, Brady and Gisele have gotten divorced last October. It seems like they decided to call quits on a 13-year-long marriage, albeit an amicable split.

The tackle seems to be following Brady’s life pattern. While the couple celebrates their special occasion of getting engaged, one can only hope that they do not suffer the same fate that Brady and Gisele did.
