What is in the memo sent by the NFL?
The memo sent on Friday informed all the remaining teams and the updated COVID protocols. The NFL said that all the vaccinated and unvaccinated players do not need to take COVID tests each and every day. They are not subjected to daily testing moving forward in the playoffs.
The NFL Network host Tom Pelissero reports that the NFLPA has approved these changes. They are made after collecting information about the Omicron variant over the past few weeks. During this time, medical experts of the league saw a decrease in positive cases. This was encouraging for the entire league.

The NFL has implemented targeted testing. All the staff and the players who may show symptoms will now be subjected to targeted surveillance testing. This format seems new. But it has been tried and tested. The safety of everyone is above all. The NFLPA is trying its best to prevent another COVID outbreak in the league.
More updates reported in the memo
The memoir also included an update for the players who had previously contacted the virus. The people who were on a 90-day test holiday after getting COVID are still subjected to testing if they show symptoms. As if right now, there are no positive tests among all the players in the playoffs. But there is still a risk of an individual missing a game if they are sick or show any symptoms.
