Fans were worried about the Super Bowl MVP’s ankle that almost ended the Chiefs’ season without seeing the peak. If the QB hadn’t played through the pain, the franchise may have missed the bus to Glendale, Arizona. So, Reid decided to give all the details on the QB’s ankle to appease all the queries. What he said will surely bring a smile to the face of the worried fans.

Andy Reid is mostly candid whenever he speaks about football or any other thing. And when he sat down with the NFL Network for an interview, the biggest question on everybody’s mind was about the ankle injury to Patrick Mahomes. Thankfully, he laid to rest all the doubts about the QB’s health happily.

“He didn’t have to get anything done. He’s doing good. He feels good. This time, he jumped right back into workouts and working the ankle, rehabbing the ankle. He’s lifting and running the parts that he could run, and he didn’t miss a beat on that,” Reid told the NFL Network.

So, the Chiefs QB is perfectly healthy, and his ankle injury won’t bother him going into the next season. Well actually, it didn’t seem to bother him when he got it in the playoffs this season. He happily played through it and led his team to the ultimate glory in football, the Super Bowl title.

When Patrick Mahomes hurt his ankle in the divisional round playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, many fans feared that the Chiefs season was over. But the QB had other ideas. He went out for a bit and returned to finish the game off in the second half. The Chiefs kept their record of making it to the AFC championship game every year since Mahomes became a starter. The QB, however, was evidently in pain and the team doctor feared the worst.
