Patrick Mahomes took the NFL by storm when he became the starting quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2018. Since then, he hasn’t looked back and has cemented his name among the top quarterbacks in the league.

In just his four seasons as the starting quarterback of the Chiefs, he has had two Super Bowl appearances. He won one of them against the 49ers, while he lost the second one against the Buccaneers. However, every year he has taken his team to the AFC Championship Game.

However, last season was a bump in the road for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. The Kansas City leader wasn’t at his best during the start of the season, and as a result, there were serious doubts about him and his team. Mahomes threw 13 interceptions last year in the regular season. Despite that, his numbers were remarkable. He threw for 4839 yards and had 37 touchdowns last season for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Moreover, Patrick Mahomes bounced back pretty well in the latter stages of the season and led his team to another AFC Championship Game. Unfortunately, he had a meltdown in the second half of that game, and that can be termed as one of the worst moments of his career so far.

As a result, the Chiefs’ offense will look different in the coming season. Even though Mahomes still has Travis Kelce, he will have a tough task ahead of him. If he is able to lead the Chiefs to another successful campaign with a new receiver corps, he might again become the best quarterback in the NFL in everyone’s eyes.
