The Kansas City Chiefs have a lot to prove in 2021. After being trounced by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV, the talks of a Chiefs dynasty has died down.
But the Chiefs aren’t looking to let one bad game define their destiny. Led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the side is looking to bounce back and make another run for the Super Bowl in 2021.
A big part of the Chiefs‘ success is their offense. Their dynamic approach to offense incorporates using tight ends to run passing routes to a great extent. Besides having All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce, the side currently has Blake Bell, Noah Gray and Jody Fortson as well.

And after all four contributed to plays during the Chiefs’ playoff win against the Minnesota Vikings, Patrick Mahomes said he’s looking forward to utilizing his assets.

After the game, Patrick Mahomes was asked about his core of tight ends. And it seems the quarterback is definitely happy with what he’s got.

“Having those tight ends on the field that can run block and they can catch, and then the offensive line we’ve built here and how they’ve been able to really run the ball, I think it’s going to put defenses in some very tough positions,” Mahomes said.

Kelce is the shining light in that tight end room. A three-time All-Pro, he broke the all-time league record for most receiving yards by a tight end in a single league season.
“They either have to put a lot of big people on the field to stop the run, or they have to find a way to stop those guys like Noah (Gray), Blake (Bell), Travis (Kelce) and Jody (Fortson) who can all catch the ball like a receiver,” he added.
