Spreading misinformation is something that no influential human being should undertake. If you are doubtful about it, rather get your facts right than making a mockery of yourself in public. Unfortunately, ESPN pundit Steve Levy underwent a similar experience recently. The “Monday Night Football” broadcast host got his facts wrong and unknowingly spoke ill about Najee Harris.

Steve Levy during the game between the Bears and the Steelers stated that the Steelers Running Back used to sleep on the floor during his college days.

TV Presenter Steve Levy spreads misinformation about Najee Harris

On Monday night during the Pittsburgh Steelers‘ 29-27 win over the Chicago Bears, ESPN’s Steve Levy stated that Najee Harris slept on the floor in his dorm room at Alabama.

“Even when he got to Alabama on the full-ride [scholarship], got the fancy dorm room, he spent the first few months in Alabama sleeping on the floor,” Levy said during the game. “Said he was just more comfortable, he was more used to that.”

Harris hits back on Levy prompting the latter to publically apologize

Thanks to Levy’s misinformation, Najee Harris took to Twitter to set the record straight. He tweeted that he never slept on the floor in his college. “Bra I ain’t sleep on no dam floor in college. I slept on my bed,” he tweeted.

Levy likely mixed up Harris with former Alabama running back Josh Jacobs — who did sleep on the floor of his dorm room. On Tuesday, Levy took to Twitter and apologized to Harris, and announced a donation to Harris’ nonprofit.
