As Aaron Rodgers edges closer to signing for the New York Jets, the Packers aren’t sitting around and crying about their soon-to-be former quarterback. According to the latest social media posts from some young Packer talents, it looks like the entire organization is ready for their fourth-year QB Jordan Love.

Fellow fourth-year Packers running back AJ Dillon, tight end Dominique Dafney, and a bunch of the Green Bay Packers players showed up for teammate Josiah Deguara’s wedding. And Jordan Love looked to get on just fine with his new starting lineup.

The Utah State quarterback doesn’t have a highly impressive resume to justify Green Bay’s show of confidence in him. In the four games he started this year, he only racked up 195 yards of passing and 1 touchdown. In 2021, Love played only six games, throwing for 411 yards and 2 touchdowns.

All this, while Rodgers was winning back-to-back league MVPs, didn’t guarantee a spot for Jordan before the 2022 season kicked off. However, one year later, things are completely different for A-Rod. And the Packers core is making peace with the changes.

Tight end, Deguara got married to his girlfriend Ashton, and the Cheeseheads showed up, all dressed fancy. “The guys clean up nice. Congratulations Josiah and Ashton,” AJ Dillon captioned the photo of future Green Bay leaders featuring Jordan Love, Dafney, and inside linebacker Krys Barnes.

The future of GB looks bright,” one fan commented. Another chimed in, “Aaron was obviously not there ’cause he is not a leader like our QB1 Jordan Love.” “That’s our QB1 right there,” another excited Green Bay fan commented. “Future HOF,” another predicted.

How do the Packers feel about Love?

Wisconsin is ready for the next quarterback chapter. And historically, the Packers do quite well when their quarterback leaves for the New York Jets. Rodgers succeeded Brett Favre. And now Love takes the keys to Lambeau from A-Rod.

It’s a situation where I think we wanted to help Aaron achieve what he wanted, as well as the Packers. Hopefully, it’ll create a situation where it’s a win for both sides,” Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy told WBAY’s Adriana Torres.

Aaron had a great career here,” Murphy said in the past tense of their veteran 39-year-old QB. “We have a lot of confidence in him [Jordan Love]. We drafted him. Developed him. A lot of credit goes to the coaches and to Jordan. But we do think he is ready,” Murphy ended the brief chat.
