However, the recent interviews conducted by media outlets with former football coaches and his co-stars suggest that Reeves could have played College football and that too, with the top institutions.

And quarterback would have been a suitable position for the actor. Per reports, former UCLA football coach Rick Neuheisel spoke about Reeves. It was the time when the star was preparing for his film Point Break.

“He was going to be an FBI agent that was a former All-American quarterback trying to infiltrate this surf group, and there was going to be a beach football scene, and he has to look like he is playing football. Could I teach him some basics? I said: “I’d just seen Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, I’m all in.’” he said.

The coach was quite impressed by the actor and had no second thoughts about his abilities. In fact, he says the actor would have been easily recruited by top universities.

Keanu Reeves admits that he never played football

Some talents are inborn, and Reeves’ football skills are somewhat inherent. While speaking to the reporters during the shoots for the Sequels of Matrix, the actor affirmed that he had no prior experience.

“I never played football,” the actor admitted. “I trained for about, in total, I think it was about two months. I had six ice packs in my freezer that I would sit down, and wrap around my arm and wrap both my knees and, sometimes, my feet because they get stepped on,” he added, explaining the challenges faced while playing the role.

Just like Reeves, several celebrities in the industry have a close connection with pro football. Hollywood actors like Dwayne Johnson were actual enthusiasts of the game and pursued the sport during their college days.
