Tampa Bay Buccaneers Looking to Strengthen Their Squad By Signing Veteran Cornerback

Bruce Arians-coached Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished their 2020 NFL campaign in epic fashion. The NFC South franchise won their second-ever Super Bowl title with Tom Brady as their starter.

However, almost immediately after the win, Brady mentioned that 2021 will be an effort to win championship ring #8. Bucs GM Jason Licht must be given credit for holding on to his top performers over the summer.

The likes of Ndamukong Suh, Antonio Brown, and Chris Godwin all signed short-term extensions in the offseason. Brady and Co. have started the 2021 NFL season where they left off last season with 2 wins from 3 games.

But they lack depth on their roster which will be crucial in the post-season phase of the league.

Richard Sherman close to inking a deal with Tampa Bay Buccaneers

NFL insider Tom Pelissero was the first to report that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are interested in moving for the services of free agent Richard Sherman. The veteran cornerback last feature for Kyle Shanahan’s San Francisco 49ers last season.

The 5-time Pro Bowler was part of the famed ‘Legion of Boom’ defense that lifted the Super Bowl XLVIII trophy with Peter Carroll and the Seahawks.
