Travis Kelce is one of the best tight ends of all time. His connection with his quarterback Patrick Mahomes is incredible. The duo has terrorized the opposition’s defense for the last 4 years. Despite Travis being one of the best players in the league, he is not among the highest-paid players.
The highest-paid TE in the league is George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers. He is a close friend of Kelce, and he recently spoke about Travis and said, “He gets paid half of what a wide receiver makes, which just boggles my mind.”

Travis certainly can make a lot of money elsewhere, just like Tyreek Hill, but he has stayed loyal to the Chiefs despite being underpaid. Travis Kelce responded to Kittle’s comments and said, “I appreciate Kittle saying that, That’s my guy and he always wants to see every tight end get paid as much as their production is.”

He added, “But at the same time, I signed my contract understanding what I had. I put a lot into this, man. Money, in my mind, is almost secondary at this point in my career. I’m here for the legacy and I’m here to try and make the Kansas City Chiefs the best team possible. So that’s my main focus. That’s why I’m here.”

The Kansas City Chiefs offense will have a very different outlook in the upcoming season. The trio that dominated the entire NFL for the past four years has finally been broken up. Tyreek Hill was traded to the Dolphins earlier in the offseason, and it had made people raise their doubts about the Chiefs for the next season.
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have a big task ahead of them. They have to lead a new group of WRs to complement them to achieve success for the Chiefs. The franchise has made some fantastic additions to the team through trades, draft, and free agency. Even though their WR room consists of many new faces, there is no doubt about the talent present there.
