Season-ending rib injuries to Drew Brees in Week 10 meant that Sean Payton would be forced to choose between Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill for the remainder of the season. In the end, coach Payton opted to go with the former BYU player Taysom Hill, who has featured frequently this season.

Hill was mostly used as a rushing threat in the final third. The 30-year-old made his start of the season last weekend against NFC South opponents, Atlanta Falcons.

He went 18 of 23, throwing for 233 yards. Hill scored two rushing touchdowns as New Orleans Saints beat the Falcons by a 24-9 scoreline.

“And all those guys thankfully also played full-time quarterback in college. Taysom kind of did miss a couple of years with injury.

“Now. I don’t think he’s going to play well…and I think I’m going to end up looking very smart on this when the taste of mill experiments over but no, one game or a second game could not prove it,” Wright said on the show.

The Saints enter Week 12 with an 8-2 record. They go on the road this Thanksgiving weekend with a high-intensity clash against Denver Broncos at the Sports Authority Field on Sunday.
