Amid personal life turbulence, many in the NFL world wrote Tom Brady off. A win against the defending champions would have been the perfect way to keep the haters at bay. And just like champions do, TB12 delivered as he led the Bucs to a marginal 16-13 win over the Rams.

Tom Brady helps the Buccaneers end their losing streak

The Monday Night Football show was popping, with Brady being the subject, as this was more than a regular win. This win takes the Bucs to 4-5, just one game short of getting back to 0.500. This is huge for them as this can change their season around. As for Tom Brady, this was just what the legendary quarterback needed amid all the stuff going on with his personal life. 

The 49ers former quarterback and Brady’s second-favorite quarterback backed the GOAT as he celebrated Brady’s victory as if it were his own. An energized Steve Young made himself vocal in the studio when they discussed the Bucs taking down the Rams. He took the time to brush up on Brady’s recent difficulties, as he called it a difficult time for the man who has always admitted to being a father first and then a footballer.

Brady is his hero’s hero

While it is well known that Brady is a fan of Young, the former 49ers quarterback also admires Brady greatly. Recently, as Brady’s personal life became quite the public affair, talking about it, Young said, “We now see the full measure of the difficulties played out. But those difficulties are shared by the locker room. They’re shared by his brothers in the locker room and shared by the whole organization. So they feel it as well. Not obviously as personal, but they’re the team, they’re with him.”

Young definitely knows a thing or two about locker room dynamics and knows how this has been for the entire Buccaneers organization. 

With their showman finally getting his head on a swivel, The Bucs look like a re-energized team. “The thing that happens last night. Is cathartic, is release. The whole team feels that? That’s the stuff that changes the direction of a season” added Steve Young as he feels strongly about this being the catalyst for change in their season.
