On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers edged past the Patriots in OT in a terrific game. After the game, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had a lovely embrace with Bill Belichick, the head coach of the Patriots.

During the press conference, Rodgers opened up about his conversation with the legendary coach. Later, Belichick also praised the 38-year-old quarterback and his immense passing ability in big games. It is worth noting that the Patriots’ head coach’s brilliant plans against Rodgers and the Packers worked great in the first half, but Rodgers made a tremendous comeback in the second half to lead the Packers to the win.

Aaron Rodgers talks about his conversation with Bill Belichick

When asked about the embrace with Belichick, Rodgers said, Cooler than that is before the game, he came over and we shared some words. It’s nice to be able to have some private conversations from time to time and he came over and we’re throwing lines and we had a nice embrace and shared some words back and forth. You know the truth is always the easiest to say. So, the things I said about Bill last week, I meant.

“The way that he coaches and the success he’s had, he’s a phenomenal leader and always has his guys ready to play and you know that was some of the sentiments I’m sure that I echoed and the rest I’ll leave to some of the stray microphones have probably caught some of it,” he further added about coach Belichick. 

After the game, the 70-year-old coach also felt that Rodgers made the difference for the Packers, as Belichick said, In the end, Rodgers was just too good. He made some throws that only Rodgers can make.

Rodgers creates history with 500 career touchdown passes

Yesterday, Rodgers created history, as he became only the fifth player in NFL history to make 500 touchdown passes in both regular and postseason games. During the fourth quarter, he threw a 13-yard pass to the rookie Romeo Doubs to create this record.

Apart from Rodgers, only Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, and Brett Favre have more touchdown passes to their names; Brady has an incredible 713 touchdown passes in his career so far. Touching the milestone was more fun for Rodgers, as his team also won the game in OT. In that matchup, Rodgers had two touchdown passes, and threw a total of 251 yards. With this win, the Packers go 3-1 in the season as their impressive start continues.
