Tom Brady in his recent appearance in the Let’s Go! podcast with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray, discussed his take on the game-ending controversy over the denied snap. The stakes were as high as they could be. And the moment as desperate as one could think of. But the game finished with a denied opportunity for the Dallas Cowboys.

San Francisco 49ers won the game by 17-23, along with a ticket to the Divisional Round slot. They will meet the Green Bay Packers next week, while the Cowboys have ended their season with a disappointing outcome. After the game, there was nothing but chaos in the stadium. The home fans were shell-shocked when the official stepped in between, to cost Dallas the last few seconds of the game.

Brady, while talking about that controversial moment, said that it was a delight to see the Cowboys make the last run down the field with barely any time left in the clock. Dak Prescott did a great job in leading the team through the time when there is no time to come up with creative plays.

“It’s a desperate situation,” Brady said. “There are not a lot of great play calls at the time. You’re kind of in the moment. You don’t have all the time in the world to think about these things. I mean, they were one second away from having a chance, to throw to the end zone from the 23-yard line.”

The Cowboys did whatever they could to turn the tables, yet failed to do so. However, it was not really the fault of the officiating crew as well. According to a recent interview with NFL referee Alex Kemp, the referee did exceptionally well at that moment and handled the situation by the books.

“I’m sure every player on that team at Dallas’s team and every fan in the stand would have loved that opportunity from the 23 or 24-yard line, with one second left,” Brady added. “But they didn’t get off at the time. It was a tough way for them to end the game. But I give them a lot of credit for getting the ball down the field in that short period of time.”

Brady was all praises for the Cowboys who put on a show against the Niners, even though they had little to no time left in the clock. And just like that, the season for the otherwise electrifying Dallas Cowboys came to an end.
